Our reciprocal International Exchange programme is a gateway to life-changing experiences, offering students the chance to broaden their horizons and immerse themselves in different cultures. This programme is not only enriching for the students who participate but also for our entire school community. Markham College has established exchange partnerships with schools in Germany, the UK, Denmark, France, the USA, Bermuda, Grand Cayman, South Africa, Kenya, Singapore, and Jordan.
Each year, Markham College actively participates in several Round Square international conferences. The highlight is the Round Square International Conference, at which nearly one hundred schools come together. We proudly send six senior student delegates and two chaperone teachers to represent our school at this prestigious event. Additionally, students aged 10 to 17 have the opportunity to attend other Round Square Regional Conferences, allowing them to connect with peers from across the globe.
In 2019, we had the honour of co-hosting the Regional Round Square Conference in Lima, welcoming 180 delegates to our city.
Markham College also participates in the Latin American Heads Conference (LAHC), an annual event that brings together both teachers and students from across the region. This conference provides a valuable platform for exchanging ideas, fostering collaboration, and strengthening our commitment to holistic education.
