Learning Journey

At Markham College, we operate across three sections on two campuses, yet we function as one cohesive school. Our unified approach spans the curriculum, specialist areas, and student support, all grounded in our Principles of Action.

This structure allows each section to cater to the individual needs of our students at their respective age levels, ensuring that everything is designed with their unique requirements in mind.

At Markham, we take a holistic approach to education, guiding our students as they grow and mature through each step of their personal learning journey, from Foundation Stage 1 to the International Baccalaureate (IB). Three Sections, Two Campuses, One School.
A Markham education begins in Early Years at our Monterrico campus, where play-based learning and a focus on young children’s social and emotional development provide a strong foundation for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum.
Our Primary students, also based at the Monterrico campus, learn within communities that prioritise building strong interpersonal relationships. In the PYP, students are expected to be active partners in their learning process. Through inquiry, they develop conceptual understandings and skills that are further explored in the IGCSE and IB Programmes in Secondary.
In Secondary, at our Miraflores campus, students from Primary 6 to Secondary 2 are exposed to a wide variety of coursework and an extensive list of co-curricular options. This allows them to explore their academic interests and foster their individual growth. As they move into Secondary 3 and 4, students take more agency over their studies, choosing from a broader range of courses available in the IGCSE Programme. Finally, senior students following the IB curriculum solidify their individual interests and talents in preparation for university and beyond.
