ABOUT US

I warmly welcome you to Markham College. We are a bilingual Peruvian international school with a British heritage, located in San Antonio and Monterrico in the beautiful city of Lima. We have three sections across two campuses, but are very much one school. Starting at 3 years old in our Early Years section, our students begin their bilingual educational journey, which focuses on teaching, learning and well-being, before moving to Primary and then Secondary, where they prepare for university entry across the globe and life beyond.

Our vision is to empower everyone to be agents of positive change in Peru and beyond. Our students are ready for an ever-changing future in which they can be leaders and change-makers in Peru and across the globe. Through our vision, we help other schools and make a difference beyond our walls. We support our students in doing this through our Principles of Action: Belonging, Opportunity, Responsibility and Trust, and by living and instilling our values of respect for self, others, and the environment.

Markham College has world-class facilities, including the newly opened Primary campus in Monterrico with facilities that are shared with Early Years. Our secondary campus in San Antonio includes facilities to support all students to pursue their passions and academic pursuits. Part of our curriculum includes our Outdoor Education Programme with many opportunities to learn outside the classroom. 

We know that the quality of our teachers makes a difference in student learning. We recruit outstanding teachers from Peru and overseas to ensure a wealth of experience and expertise. Our Old Markhamians return and share their expertise, time and support to the school.
