Mission Possible: World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) workshops

Ten students from Markham College joined the WFUNA project to work collaboratively with students from across the globe to create and implement social action projects. They took part in online workshops that helped them build the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to take on the world’s most pressing challenges and opportunities. By participating in the programme, they were able to identify issues that matter to them, connect these to the UN’s sustainable development goals, and craft an action plan to get started.

Proposals from the students included diverse activities such as sustainable beach cleaning and providing access to education for disadvantaged communities.
