Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is an activity-based program that promotes life skills outside the classroom. Established in 1956 by Prince Philip, it empowers youth globally. Participants are encouraged in four areas: Service, Skills, Physical Recreation, and Adventurous Journey, setting personal goals to foster responsibility and achievement.

Participating in the Award helps develop leadership, teamwork, and resilience. It motivates young people to step outside their comfort zones, try new activities, and make a positive impact on their communities. Completing the Award boosts personal development and enhances CVs and university applications, making candidates more appealing for future opportunities.
