History of Markham
“Studiis et Rebus Honestis, For Honourable Studies and Pursuits”
Markham College, located in Lima, Peru, was founded in 1946 by a small group of British businessmen who sought a British-style education for their sons. The school began with just 72 male students and 7 teachers. Today, over 75 years later, Markham College has evolved into a fully co-educational institution, serving over 2,000 students from Foundation Stage 1 (ages 3+) to the International Baccalaureate (age 18).
Markham College is renowned for its large international staff of specialist teachers, a bilingual (English-Spanish) learning environment, and a highly competitive international curriculum. These elements work in harmony to provide our students with access to the finest local and international universities.
