The Activity Centre began simply by observing the students during their recess breaks and little by little, an unattended group of students was identified. Ms Diaz then proposed to create a nurturing and welcoming space for learning and developing soft and cognitive skills that would foster harmonious school coexistence based on affection, collaboration and mutual respect.
“Relatos Docentes” unites various excellent initiatives of prominent educators from all over the country, this time offering Ms Diaz a space to explain how this programme started and continues promoting healthy social relationships inside of the school while allowing students to meet their own potential and providing them with space to further develop it.
Markham College is proud to count with such a dedicated workforce and recognises the efforts of those who are constantly looking to improve the students’ quality of life.
