INTERNET-INTRANET TERMS OF USE AND PRIVACY POLICY

We reserve the right to all material and contents published on this site. No part of this site may be reproduced, or transmitted in any form, or by any means, without prior permission. The contents of the Intranet Secure Zone is of exclusive use by the Markham Community.

Parameters of Privacy Policy
1. By using the Markham College web site or the Markham College Intranet, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with this policy.
Though the policy has been developed to take account of changes in Internet technology, it is subject to change and any such changes will only be notified on this page.
2. Any personal information collected from visitors to our website or the Intranet is on a purely voluntary basis. However, by supplying the information you are consenting to the School keeping it for a reasonable period of time and using it for the purposes stated at the time of request. We will not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent.
3. Markham College collects IP addresses for the purposes of system administration and to audit the use of our site. We do not normally link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, which means that a user's session will be logged, but the user remains anonymous to us. We can and will use IP addresses to identify a user when we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with our Acceptable Use Policy or to protect our service, site, pupils or others. Such user identification and the reason for it will be notified to the Headmaster or his nominee.
4. The importance of security for all personally identifiable information associated with our visitors is of utmost concern to us. We exercise great care in providing secure transmission of your information from your PC to our servers. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, Markham College can't ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online services, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our systems.
5. By using this site, you signify your assent to Markham College’s Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our sites. Your continued use of our sites following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes.
