Co-curricular Programme
At Markham College we place great emphasis on student activities. We believe that a lively, well-organised and stimulating co-curricular programme is vital to the development of the students. It allows them to express themselves as individuals and provides them with the opportunity to explore new talents and develop new interests. All students from Pre-Kinder onward participate in our co-curricular programme designed to complement our enquiry-based learning in the classroom and to build upon individual potential and self-esteem.
Our co-curricular programme is designed to:
- Enrich the lives of the students. By introducing them to a wide range of interests or stimulating their existing interests, we are help to help students develop into mature, well rounded and interesting young people.
- Enrich relationships between students and staff. Our activities enable teachers and students to work together on a shared interest in an informal and friendly atmosphere and perhaps to see qualities in each other that they might not have noticed in a classroom situation.
There are several different kinds of activities throughout the school. There are After-School Activities and Late Activities, as well as Team Sports.
