LEADERSHIP

Markham believes in educating the leaders of tomorrow. We entrust our students with a range of responsibilities, from the moment they enter the school. All our students take part in public speaking of one form or another, and many elect to gain confidence and show spirit in front of an audience on stage. Once their IGCSE exams have finished, all our S4 students undertake a week of work experience – real work with real people in real companies, and come back with glowing reports of their emerging skills.

Our student leaders are evident at many levels, all round the school: student mentors, library monitors, prefects, sports captains, sports council members, cultural council members, service council members, adventure council members, Round Square committee members, class representatives, year representatives on the Students' Council, Students Teaching Students, Model United Nations, and the Pastoral group (Confirmation).
