ENVIRONMENT

Markham is proud of its environment and is keen to preserve it. Our students are encouraged to look after the campus by keeping it litter free, and guide other users to do the same. We have regular student patrols that help our ancillary staff to keep the campus clean. Our curriculum extends into the community whenever we travel further afield. We play an active role in environmental issues when out and about – whether it be in Tambopata for ecology studies, up in the Andes on weekend treks, or down at the beach for a year group camp. We are a tree-friendly school, and try to limit our use of paper to a minimum, recycling wherever possible. We even have an activity group that makes its own recycled paper!
